My Students

Sometimes, students like to get more comfortable while they work. They get tired of sitting in hard chairs and want to sit on the floor while they complete assignments. I would like to have cushions so my students can be comfortable when they work on the floor.

I love seeing my students cozy and comfortable while working.

Our arts-based program attracts a diverse population of students from across the county. They attend our school to major in their art area. Our students are creative and often work outside the box to generate some of the most artistic classroom assignments I have ever seen. Sometimes they like to spread out on the floor while they work. Being able to provide some cushion will help them relax and focus on their assignments.

My Project

Students sometimes prefer to sit on the floor to read or work on laptops and on group projects. Being artists, they tend to go above and beyond on their projects; they will sprawl out with packages of markers, scissors, and glue sticks to create the most elaborate anchor charts and posters. However, the floor is hard, cold, and sometimes dusty. These mats will allow them to stay warm, clean and comfortable when working on the floor. They can fold them up when they sit to read, write, or plug in their electronic devices to keep them charged while they work. They can unfold the mats when they are sprawling out to work on group projects. Being more comfortable will help them concentrate for longer periods of time than when they are working on the tile floor.
