My Students

We are a small rural school with the big heart! In our media center, I serve about 450 amazing students. My students are active, engaged, and eager to learn. They love to read and they are excited to use technology. I love to provide them with opportunities to collaborate and learn new life skills!

Our students walk in the media center doors eager to explore all the world has to offer.

They love reading and finding new information. I love my job, because I am able to watch them engage and develop understanding of new ideas and concepts. I'm always striving to give them resources and skills to continue their knowledge explorations. I endeavor to bring experiences to them through technology and other resources. We have a diverse student population represented in our media center. Each child brings their own interests and strengths. These curious students work hard and deserve new and innovative technology resources.

My Project

Dash and Dot will give our learners the opportunity to problem solve and develop an understanding of coding. Also, these materials will benefit our student’s growth in math and science. All of these skills are vital to their future success in college and in their careers. Dash and Dot can be used to teach the basics of computer programming and lead our learners to more challenging skills.

Our eager learners will have fun developing these new skills as they learn through play with the robots!

Using the robots they will be able to write code and test the code to see how they perform in action. I am looking forward to seeing how our students grow technologically, artistically, and scientifically as they develop their own unique codes.
